A non-slewing mobile crane means a mobile crane, or greater than 3 tonne capacity, incorporating a boom or jib that cannot be slewed.
Includes:
- Articulated type mobile cranes
- Locomotive cranes
- Non-slewing telehandlers 3 tonne or greater (fitted with a boom and/or jib with a hoist rope and/or hook block)
Note: As of the 1st July 2017 a person who holds a CN licence cannot operate a reach stacker
Requirements
- Participants must wear steel capped footwear. STO can provide Hi Visibility Clothing and Hard Hats. For any specific PPE requirements please contact STO
- Participants must provide 100 points of Identity and be a minimum of 18 years of age. Please see evidence of identity form
- English language skills need to be sufficient to understand and comprehend written and verbal instructions
- Numeracy skills are needed to interpret calculations and formulas

- Set up, configure and operate non-slewing crane safely

- Shut down and secure crane
Certification
On successful completion of this course, participants will be issued with a Notice of Satisfactory Assessment for Licence to operate a non-slewing crane 3t or greater – TLILIC 0008 by a Safe Work NSW Accredited Assessor
HRWL Application
Participants have 60 days to process their Notice of Satisfactory at a NSW post office, also a passport photo will need to be provided.
